Douglas Reservoir
Directions: From Wellington exit on I-25, go 5.5 mile west, south and west on Highway 1 to County Road 15, 1 mile north on County Road 15 to County Road 60, then 1/4 mile west to LaVina Drive. North on LaVina Drive to the lake. From Fort Collins at Highway 287 and Highway1, take Highway 1 north 4 miles to Waverly cutoff (County Road 15), north on County Road 15 to County Road 60. Then 1/4 mile west to Lavina Drive, north to the lake.

Eleven Mile State Park
Directions: 38 miles west of Colorado Springs on U.S. 24 to 1 mile west of the town of Lake George, then turn left (south) on County Road 90 and drive for 6 miles to County Road 92. Continue south on 92 for 5 miles to the park.

Boating: Three boat ramps, windsurfing and jet-skiing.
Fish: The lake is stocked with kokanee salmon and cutthroat and rainbow trout. Northern pike are plentiful and carp abound in the shallow bays and inlets, providing great bow-fishing opportunities.

From the East
Take U.S. Highway 50 west from Lamar approximately 20 miles to Hasty. Turn south on School Street and proceed approximately 2 miles. The Visitor Center is on the right as the road curves to the east.
From the West
Take U.S. Highway 50 east from La Junta to Las Animas, approximately 20 miles. Proceed east through Las Animas to Hasty, approximately 16 miles. Turn south on School Street and proceed approximately 2 miles. The Visitor Center is on the right as the road curves to the east.

Highline Lake State Park
There are two lakes at Highline Lake State Park, Mack Mesa Lake and Highline Lake.
Directions: Drive west on I-70 from Grand Junction to Loma Exit, then north onto Colorado Highway 139 for 6 miles to Q Road. Go west on Q road for 1.2 miles, then turn north onto 11.8 Road for 1 mile to the park entrance.
Fees:
Boating: Two boat ramps, power boating, jet-skiing and water-skiing; only hand- or electric-powered boats are allowed at Mack Mesa.
Fish: Rainbow trout are stocked in both lakes in spring and summer. Warm-water fish, such as bass and catfish, are found in both lakes. Highline Lake has good warm-water fishing, especially for catfish and crappie. Mack Mesa is noted for its fine early season trout fishing.
