Being a State Ranger is a very diverse job.  The general functions of a ranger are to provide public safety, natural resource protection and administrative management of Colorado's State Parks.  There are however Rangers who specialize in areas such as:

  • River Rafting
  • Boating Education and Enforcement
  • Environmental Education
  • Trails
  • Camping
