Bookcliff Campground Campsites at Highline Lake State Park

Welcome to the Campsites Page! This is a fairly new page so please bear with us as we fill out more details of each campsite.

General Information about Campsites

All campsites at Highline Lake State Park can accommodate tents or RVs. RVs are not allowed on the grass and there are no electrical hook-ups. A dump station, water spigots, and dumpsters are provided. Each campsite is equipped with a grill, fire ring, and picnic table. Tents may set up anywhere in the grassy areas behind the campsite as long as they are not encroaching on another campsite. Capacity for each campsite is six people (and yes, children are people too :). If more than six plan to camp, contact the Visitor's Center during business hours. Most campsites are a mix of sun and shade. When attempting to get a site as a walk-up, not all sites may be available during the week due to watering. For the best chance of getting the specific site you want, please make a reservation at least three days in advance through the state reservations system. For more information on services and reservations, please navigate to the Camping Page.

This corner campsite is located where the park exit meets 11.8 Road. Campsite 27 has an amazing amount of green space pretty much to itself! This site is a favorite of those acting as host to family reunions where you need a lot of space to gather together for meals and campfires but get to send everyone back to their sites for sleep.
