Bonny Lake Hidden in the woods

Hunting at Bonny Lake State Park

Hunters, you can enjoy all kinds of outdoor sports at Bonny. We offer a wide variety of small game as well as big- game animals. In season, hunting is allowed inside the park from the day after Labor Day to the Friday before Memorial Day, except where posted. Common species hunted include deer (draw permit only), turkey (draw permit only), waterfowl, dove, pheasant, quail, rabbit, and squirrel.

View Colorado Division of Wildlife detailed hunting information. Hunting is not allowed within 100 yards of any campground, picnic area, cabins, nature trail, swim beach, boat ramp or other facilities.

To provide waterfowl a resting-place, portions of the area are closed to all hunting and/or public access. View Bonny Lake Hunting Map.

The adjacent South Republican State Wildlife Area is administered by the Division of Wildlife, with approximately 10,000 acres of land, also has many hunting opportunities.  Go to the DOW's Web site to view a map of this area:  Under “SWA Name,”  go to “South Republican (Bonny Reservoir).”
