Boating

The lake is open to boating. Make sure your boat has current registrations and all required safety equipment. All trailered vessels will be inspected for Aquatic Nuisance Species before launching. Starting November 2, 2009, inspections will be conducted daily at the North Boat Ramps only from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. After 6:00 p.m. the pre-inspection policy comes into play. Starting October 1, 2009, Decontaminations will only be scheduled 8:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday. We ask that you arrive with your vessel clean, dry and drained.

Camping

Chatfield has D-Loop open for camping. There are no reservations, just first come first serve. Electricity and sewer are available at the sites. The water has been turned off but you can get water at the dump station. Camping fee is $18.00 per night. A $6.00 daily park pass is required on all vehicles if you do not have an annual Colorado park pass. For more information, visit the "Camping" link on the left side of Chatfield's main page.

Fishing is slow for all species. The minimum size for walleye is 18 inches and only one walleye exceeding 21 inches may be kept daily.
