Boat Ramps - 3/22/2013 Yearly Schedule********March 1st through March 31st - East Ramp 6:00 a.m. - 6:00p.m..******April 1st through April 30th - East Ramp open daily 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. West Ramp open Friday - Sunday 6:00 a.m. - 6:00********May 1st through September 30th - Both ramps open 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. .********October 1st through October 30th - East Ramp open daily 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. West Ramp open Friday - Sunday 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.******November 1st - November 30th - East Ramp open daily 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.******December 1st through February 28th - Lake closed to all boating. Spring opening date is subject to delay, if ice conditions persist. Boating - 3/22/2013 The lake is open to boating. Please be aware there may still be unmarked hazards. Camping - 3/22/2013 Campsites in Cottonwood and Coyote Loops are only available on a walk-in basis, campers are not able to make advanced reservations. Campsites in Abilene and Buffalo Loop are reservable. All other camping loops will be closed for the season. The Camper Services Building, which contains showers, laundary facilities, restrooms, and vending machines, is open. Goldrush and Prairie shower houses are closed until April 1. Construction - 3/22/2013 Park visitors will notice several construction projects that will be ongoing this spring and summer. At times there might be temporary closures of some of the roads and trails near the construction sites. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Current projects include: Cherry Creek Stream Bank Restoration at 12-Mile, Lake and Mountain Loop Improvements Fire Restrictions - 3/22/2013 Fires are restricted to designated grills and fire rings. Fishing Report - 2/18/2013 Crappies, Sun fish, and Trout are being caught near the West Shades and near Mountain/Lake/Tower loops. Walleye are also being caught near the dam. Make sure you have a parks pass for your vehicle and a valid fishing license and good luck! ****Fishing is prohibited from the dam and within 100 feet of dam or walleye spawning nets from 4 p.m. to 9 am. March 15 - Apri 15**** Icing Conditions - 3/22/2013 The lake is free of ice and open for boating. Road Conditions - 3/22/2013 Roads are currently dry and free of ice or snow. Seasonal Closures - 3/22/2013 ****The lake is closed to swimming until May*** Many restrooms have been winterized and closed until April. Please use center stalls where available. ***** Entrance Station hours may vary depending on staffing, weather and holidays. Self Service passes available at all entrances (cash or checks only for self serve). The East Entrance Station (Parker and Lehigh) and West Entrance (Dayton and Union) are currently open 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. weekends. 12 Mile South (Orchard and Parker) 9:30 - 4 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. weekends, weather permitting.****Fishing is prohibited from the dam and within 100 feet of dam or walleye spawning nets from 4 p.m. to 9 am. March 15 - Apri 15**** Swimming Conditions - 3/22/2013 The swim beach is closed for the season. Water Levels - 3/22/2013 Normal water level is 5,550 feet above sea level. Current level is 5,548.22 feet. Water Temperature - 3/22/2013 The water temperature is 38 degrees.
