12 miles of paved trails, 35 total miles of multi-use trails. Please use proper trail etiquette, bikers yield to hikers, all yield to horses.
Birding

The varied eco-system in the park attracts raptor species including bald eagle, red-tailed hawk, northern harrier and ferruginous hawk as well as waterfowl and shorebirds.
Boating

The lake is closed to boating for the winter . Please see conditions for ramp schedules. The Cherry Creek Marina (303-779-6144 or http://www.cherrycreekmarina.com) offers full concessions including boating lessons, rentals and bait during the summer season.
Camping

Cherry Creek Campground has 135 newly renovated sites. Full hook-up sites and basic tent sites reservable by calling 303-470-1144 or 1-800-678-2267. Open year-round.

Fishing

Popular with local fisherman for close-to-home quality fishing from shore or boat. Always stay at least 60 feet away from the front of the Tower structure. Ice fishing when conditions permit. See "Conditons" for current information. Visit http://wildlife.state.co.us/Fishing/ for information.
Group Camping

There are three Group Campsites in the Campground. Call the Camper Registration Office at 303-693-3957 for reservations. See details under Group Facilities.
Group Picnicking

There are six unique group picnic areas, some accommodating up to 250 people. Call the Park Office for reservations at 303-690-1166 X6561. See details under Group Facilities.
Hiking

12 miles of multi-use trails. Easy rolling terrain.
Horseback Riding

There are plans to have a new stable concession in the future. Please check back periodically. Horses are allowed on all multi-use trails except the wetland trails, campground or swimbeach.
Ice Skating

Jet Skiing

The lake is closed to boating for the winter. See Boat Ramps under Conditions for more information. Jet ski rentals available at The Ski Shak (303-766-0766) Memorial through Labor Day.
Model Airplane Flying

Located on the west side of the park, the airfield provides asphalt runways and frequency posts.
Picnicking

Public picnic tables around the lake on a first come - first serve basis. Group sites must be reserved in advanced. See Group Facilities for details.
Sledding

Sledding is allowed if conditions permit. There must be sufficient snow cover to prevent resource damage. There is no designated sledding area.

Swimming

****The lake is closed to swimming for the 2011 season. No swimming is allowed in the lake until the swim season opens in 2012.**** There is a bathhouse with restrooms located at the beach for convenience. Colorado State Park swim beaches do not have lifeguards on duty. Swim at your own risk. Children must be supervised by adults at all times. Please don’t take glass, charcoal grills and pets on the beach.
Volleyball
