Employment at Eleven Mile
Eleven Mile and Spinney Mountain State Parks hire seasonal rangers, maintenance technicians, office staff, aquatic nuisance species boat inspectors, a park trails coordinator and a park interpreter for the park every summer. All seasonal positions are strictly limited by law to a maximum of six months of employment during any twelve month period of time.
Eleven Mile State Park provides outstanding accommodations for seasonal employees with a well furnished, on-site, two-story dorm. Rent, which includes utilities, is currently $10 per week plus $5 per week for utilities -- deducted automatically on a bi-weekly basis. A $50 damage/cleaning deposit may be required prior to moving in. Residents must furnish their own bedding, linens and kitchen utensils. Neither smoking nor pets are allowed inside state housing.
The housing unit is inspected periodically throughout the season for cleanliness of common areas and damage. Any damage and/or cleaning fees will be deducted from the employee's deposit.
Temporary/Seasonal Applications for all positions are accepted all year long. Please submit an application and we will contact you during the next hiring cycle. Typically, applications for the following summer season should be received by the end of January. The interview period is typically from mid-January until mid-March.
