Red Barn Group Picnic Area
Red Barn Group Picnic Area provides a rustic setting for large get-togethers. This area is equipped with sheltered picnic tables, large grills, campfire ring, playground, volleyball court, horse shoe pit and vault toilets. Two historic barns, renovated with electrical outlets and lights, cover the tables. Many visitors enjoy using this site for family reunions, office picnics, neighborhood parties, weddings and graduation receptions. Visitors can take in a wonderful view of a nearby open meadow and a creek, enjoy the nearby fishing areas and hiking trails. Guests must provide their own net, ball and horseshoes. Only 3.2% beer is allowed. Red Barn is located on the east side of the park on Crawford Gulch Road east of the Visitor Center. View Golden Gate Canyon State Park Area Map.
Fees: Monday - Friday - $150 Saturday & Sunday - $200Capacity: Seating for 100 people, no more than 150 allowed at this site.Times: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Parking: Restricted to 25 vehicles. Carpooling is recommended. $6 entrance fee per vehicle Reservations: Reservations are taken beginning the first Monday in February., call (303) 582-3707 Refunds/Cancellations: No refunds due to inclement weather. Cancellation fee shall be equal to 25% of the base fee if the cancellation is made 15 or more days prior to reserve date. If the cancellation is made within 14 days of the reserved date then the cancellation fee shall be 100% of the base fee.
