Rifleman Phillips Group Campground
Rifleman Phillips Group Campground is located at an elevation of 8,800 feet. Summer temperatures can vary from a high of 80 degrees during the day to nighttime lows in the 40s. The campground is located in a 50-year-old stand of lodgepole pine and is restricted to tents only. The facilities include picnic tables, fire rings, and areas for dispersed camping. There is a hand pump well and a vault toilet. Electricity is not available. There is parking for 15 vehicles. No trailers allowed - other than 2 small supply trailers. There are two major trails leading from the campground. They will take you to interesting places such as Forgotten Valley, Dude's Fishing Hole, City Lights Ridge and Frazer Meadow. Your group is always welcome to attend the weekend campfire programs at Reverend's Ridge where pay showers and laundry are also available. Photos. Only 3.2% beer is allowed in the park. Reservations: The reservation procedure at Rifleman Phillips will be changing in 2013 - the earliest that bookings can be made is
exactly 6 months in advance of the first day of camping. Please refer to the table below for corresponding months. Rifleman Phillips will be open from Friday, May 17 through Saturday, October 5, in 2013, weather dependant.

Refunds/Cancellations: No refunds are given due to inclement weather or campfire bans.
1) For cancellations made 15 days or more prior to the beginning date of the reservation, the campsite reservation fee ($10.00) will be retained.
2) For cancellations made 14 days or less prior to the reservation, the campsite reservation fee ($10.00) and the first night’s camping fee will be retained.
