Boating - 5/8/2012

BOAT RAMPS RE-OPENED April 1, 2012. Currently our ANS inspectors are available from 8 AM - 4 PM everyday. You are allowed to hand launch from the shore at both Harvey Gap and Rifle Gap reservoirs. PLEASE NOTE: Hand lauching in now reserved only for watercraft WITHOUT a motor!

Camping - 5/8/2012

Harvey Gap is a day use park, no camping is allowed. Nearby Rifle Falls State Park and Rifle Gap State Park have year round camping.

Fire Restrictions - 5/8/2012

All campfires must be contained in provided campfire rings/grills. Charcoal & propane grills are also allowed. Use common sense when wind is blowing.

Fishing Report - 5/8/2012

PLEASE NOTE: Large and Small Mouth Bass must be returned to the water from May 1 - June 15th, due to spawning. 3600 Rainbow Trout have just been stocked in Harvey Gap Reservoir. They are reported to be at least 10 inches in length. They were stocked 4/19/12.

Icing Conditions - 5/8/2012

No ice remains on the lake at this time.

Water level is high! A swim beach has begun to form though.
