Highline Lake State Park
Summer Fun at Highline Lake  

An oasis in the desert, Highline Lake is the recreation epicenter for the Grand Valley with two lakes, lush grass, trails and trees.
No matter the season, Highline Lake State Park is a diverse and welcome retreat. Connected to miles of trails and close to communities, the park makes an ideal base camp for exploring the Grand Junction area.  Whether passing through on mountain bikes, or as an end destination, the park welcomes campers, anglers, families and groups.

Birders have plenty to see here. The Audubon Society designated the park an important bird area; thousands migrate through the area every winter.

Why Visit Now

ANS inspections available:
Mon- Fri 7 am to 8 pm; 
Sat-Sun 6 am to 9 pm.  

Decontaminations  available:
Mon-Fri 8 am to 7 pm;
Sat-Sun 7 am to 8 pm  ONLY!  

All boats with even one ballast tank, an inboard motor OR an inboard/outboard motor MUST go through a decontamination unless the boat has a seal.

Ask for a seal when you leave the water to save time the next time you launch. 

Come early morning or late afternoon on weekends to avoid the crowds, launch quicker and find a closer parking spot!

The swim beach is open and the water is warm, so cool off and relax in between acts! We're only 3 miles from Mack.

Enjoy A Wild Summer Outdoors every Wednesday from 10 am to noon. Everyone aged 5 to 105, will have fun learning about the great outdoors on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings, too!
