Campgrounds - 4/11/2012

Camping at Lory State Park is in the backcountry only; there are no campgrounds, car camping or RV camping available. Primitive sites can be accessed by at least a 2-mile, one-way hike. The backcountry sites are a good training ground for Scouts and other groups who want to train for longer backpacking and camping trips. There is no water, restrooms or tent pads at these sites and fires are prohibited. Call the park at 970-493-1623 for backcountry camping information. Campers must purchase a backcountry camp permit for $10.00 per night in addition to a $7.00 vehicle permit or $3.00 individual pass. Backcountry camping is currently permitted Friday and Saturday nights only due to hunting season. Sites are available on a first come basis. They are not on the reservation system and no reservations are taken.

Conference Rooms - 4/11/2012

The Lory State Park Visitor Center Conference Room offers the perfect location for small business, group, or club meetings. The room can accommodate 25 people and amenities include dry erase board, overhead projector, slide projector, TV/VCR, refrigerator, sink, two coffee makers, microwave, BBQ grill, and a patio picnic area. Reservations may be made by calling 970-493-1623. The reservation fee is $100 per day.

Group Picnic Area - 4/11/2012

Lory has three group picnic areas that can accommodate from 50 to 100 people each and have covered picnic tables and grills. More information is available from the "Group Picnic Areas" on the left of Lory's main page.

Picnic Sites - 4/11/2012

There are many scenic picnic areas at Lory State Park. The Homestead Picnic Area is a spacious picnic area with views of the reservoir and plenty of shade. Picnic tables are also available at Orchard Cove, South Eltuck, and Arthur's Rock trailhead.

Trails - 4/11/2012

Lory's trails are great for hikers, joggers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers. For more information, check out the "Trails" link on the left side of Lory's main page or call 970-493-1623.

Visitor Center - 4/11/2012

The Lory State Park Visitor Center is open Mon-Sun 8:30-4PM . The Visitor Center also carries books, postcards and other outdoor related items for sale to support environmental education at the park. Don’t miss the dynamic interpretive exhibits and interactive nature displays.

Wedding Facilities - 4/11/2012

Lory State Park offers fabulous scenery and seclusion for outdoor weddings. The Soldier Canyon Group Facility accommodates up to 100 people and has covered tables and other rustic amenities. South Eltuck Group Facility, accommodating up to 50 people, has covered shelters and has great photographic opportunities for creating beautiful wedding memories. Soldier Canyon Group Facility offers a secluded location accommodating 100 people. Close access to the reservoir and a private stage make this an ideal location.
