  Directions

From I-76
From I-76, take exit #125 (Sterling) and turn west on Hwy 6 (eastbound traffic from Denver, turn left off the exit ramp - westbound traffic from Julesburg/Nebraska, turn right the off exit ramp). Follow Hwy 6 west for 2 miles over the bridge into downtown Sterling. The road becomes Chestnut St - continue straight. After 3 blocks, the road jogs left and becomes Platte St. Continue on Platte St for 2 blocks to the four-way stop at N. 3rd Ave. Turn right at the stop sign and go 4 blocks to Broadway. Turn left at the traffic light and go 4 blocks to N. 7th Ave. Turn right onto N. 7th Ave and follow the directions below.
From Highway 14
Take Highway 14 east from Fort Collins (approximately 96 miles from I-25 to Sterling). Highway 14 enters Sterling and becomes West Main St. Continue straight east approximately 1.5 miles to N. 7th Ave. Turn left on N. 7th Ave. and continue north, following the directions below from N. 7th Ave.
From N. 7th Ave
On N.7th Ave, follow the paved road north for 10 miles. *****NOTE: If you are using a GPS unit to navigate, this road changes names several times. Don't turn onto any unpaved roads.***** After the large S-curves, turn left onto CR-46 and continue for 2 miles west to CR-33. Follow the paved road north on CR-33. The South entrance leads to Inlet Grove Campground, Chimney View Campground, Cottonwood Cove Swim Beach, the South Boat Ramp, and other fishing and picnic areas. The Elks Entrance is 2 miles north on CR-33, and leads to the Elks Campground, Elks Boat Ramp, the park Visitor Center. Park maps are available at these entrances and show additional day-use areas.
CONSTRUCTION DETOUR
Construction on N. 7th Avenue in Sterling has been completed and no longer affects the driving directions.
From I-80
From I-80 in Nebraska, take exit # 59 into Sidney. Head south past Cabela's on Hwy 19 for seventeen miles. Continue south, crossing the state line into Colorado at the town of Peetz, where the road become Hwy 113. Continue south on Hwy 113 for fourteen miles, and turn right onto County Road 46. Continue west on CR-46 for eight miles, and follow the paved road right onto CR-33. The South Entrance to the park is immediately on your left - the Elks Entrance is 2 miles north on CR-33 on the left.
