Hunting At Spinney Mountain State Park
Waterfowl, big game and small game hunting are permitted in areas that are not closed to hunting during lawful hunting seasons established by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Areas closed to hunting include, but are not limited to, any location that is within 100 yards of any building, boat ramp or picnic facility. Please download the Spinney Mountain Hunting Closure Map for more information concerning these locations. All Colorado Parks and Wildlife hunting statutes and regulations are strictly enforced. Hunting brochures are available on line at this link.
Waterfowl hunters will find both a challenging and rewarding experience bagging their limit of geese, mallards, teal, bufflehead, wigeons or gadwalls on this reservoir. All blinds must be removed from the park every night.
Hunters seeking larger game can find mule deer and the occasional pronghorn antelope. Jackrabbits and coyotes are abundant for small game hunters. For additional hunting information, check out the Colorado Parks and Wildlife hunting page.
