Steamboat Lake State Park
Sand Mountain in Steamboat Lake, by Brent Lounsbury

One of the true jewels of Colorado, Steamboat Lake State Park has something special for everyone.  Whatever your preference, well-deserved relaxation and recreation awaits you.

Hahn's Peak frames the breathtaking scenery of this premier park offering family fishing, camping, picnicking, trail and boating recreational opportunities.  A full-service Marina and swim beach provide amenities for active water play.

Winter comes alive with snowmobiling, ice fishing, and peaceful cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing in a valley surrounded by snow-capped mountains.  Ten camper cabins down by the Marina welcome adventurers for a cozy night.

Camping
Boating

Camping at Steamboat Lake offers a spectacular opportunity to immerse yourself in clean, crisp air
and true Rocky Mountain living.

Reservations for 2013 may be made between 6 months and 3 days in advance of your arrival date.  The first reserve-able date is Friday, May 24th, and the last is Monday September 9th.  Basic sites are $18 / night, and electric sites are $22 / night.  For detailed summer campsite information please click here

Our camper cabins are open and reservable year-round by contacting the Steamboat Lake Marina at 970-879-7019, or through their website by clicking here.

Winter camping with electric outlets is available in our Marina parking lot at a rate of $20 / night.

At 8,100' in a mountain valley where the Colorado sky seems just a bit bluer, Steamboat Lake is an ideal place to bring your boat!

Our lake is open to boating from May 1st through November 1st each year as ice conditions permit.  Inspections for Aquatic Nuisance Species are mandatory on all vessels, and are available at the Visitor Center or boat ramps.

All Colorado boating regulations apply.  In particular, please make sure to have a servicable, correct-size USCG approved lifejacket for each person on board, and that the boat's operator is driving safely.  Please do NOT drink and boat!

Our staff is always here to help! Feel free to let us know if there's anything we can do or if you have any questions.
