We have a beautiful 1,053 surface-acre lake at 8,100' surrounded by mountains--including views of the Continental Divide. Our lake is very rarely crowded by any definition, and is ideally zoned to be well-suited for everything from waterskiing to trolling.
Colorado Boating Laws and Regulations are available here or at the Visitor Center.
Our lake is open from May 1st through November 1st each year.
Steamboat Lake and Pearl Lake State Parks are part of the statewide effort to prevent the spread of aquatic nuisance species (ANS), including zebra and quagga mussels, in the state’s reservoirs and waterways. Starting in 2010 all vessels that are on a trailer have to be inspected at an ANS station prior to launching. If ANS are detected on any watercraft, decontamination is required. Inspections can be done during posted inspection hours at the boat ramps, or at the Visitor Center. Rangers will also inspect boats by request.
The pre-inspection program will allow a boater to launch outside of inspection hours. Pre-inspected boats will receive a seal which will need to be removed from the boat and placed in a drop box along with the seal receipt. Launching outside of inspection hours is prohibited without a valid seal and receipt. To speed up the inspection process, boaters are encouraged to clean, drain and dry their vessel. A seal can be obtained at an inspection station, the Visitor Center or by contacting a Ranger.
The offers boat and dock rentals, fuel, snacks, camping supplies and firewood. Campers can leave their boats along the shore near their campsite or rent dock space from the Marina. A boat trailer storage area, located west of the Marina, is available for visitors staying at the park. You may visit their website here or call them at 970-879-7019.
