Conditions

Boating - 5/21/2012

The boat ramp is currently open. Boat inspections will be done as staffing permits. All trailered watercraft MUST be inspected for Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) prior to launching. There will be NO inspector on May 22-23. Please call ahead to verify whether an inspector will be available before arriving at the park until we can get staff trained and scheduled. It is illegal to launch any watercraft without an inspection.

Hunting - 5/21/2012

Waterfowl hunting is permitted on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as DPW regulations allow. You must have a valid park pass displayed in your vehicle to enter the park.

Park Entrance - 5/21/2012

Park hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm October 1st thru April 30th; May 1st thru September 30th 8:00am to 10:00pm. Please call our Crawford office at 970-921-5721 to verify whether staff will be available at the Sweitzer office. You must have a valid park pass displayed in your vehicle to enter the park. Purchases may be made by cash or check only at the self service tube at the entrance of the park or at the office when staff are on duty.

Road Conditions - 5/21/2012

The gate to the east side of the park will be closed after it has rained or snowed. Moisture makes the road impassable. The bridge over the dam has been removed. This means that the only public access to the North Side day use area is by boat.

Seasonal Closures - 5/21/2012

The park office and boat ramp are open as staffing permits. If further assistance is needed, please call Crawford State Park at 970-921-5721.

Water Levels - 5/21/2012
