Fisherman's Paradise campsites are currently available 1st Come/1st Serve. There are no individual hookups. No drinking water. Campground showers and flush toilets are closed. For 2010, Campsite Reservations are available May 21-September 30 and are highly recommended. Cabin Reservations year round. 1-800-678-2267, Metro Denver 303-470-1144 or online.
Fire Restrictions

Fires are allowed only in approved rings at the Elk Run Campground, Fisherman's Paradise Campground, designated picnic areas, cabins & yurts.
Fishing Report

Ice fishermen have had the most consistant luck near the dam. Areas of unsafe ice can always exist, USE CAUTION. The lake was stocked on 9/30 with 2000 catchable sized rainbows and 10/21 with 500 19-22" Rainbows. The lake also contains brook and brown trout.
Hunting

Hunting is allowed in the park. However, it is unlawful to discharge explosives, firearms and/or other weapons within 100 yards of any designated campground, visitor center, picnic area, boat ramp, nature trail; from any location so that the projectiles cross over or fall upon the above recreational areas; or any area closed to hunting due to public safety considerations. A map is available at the Visitor Center.
Park Entrance

Park Staff or Volunteers are on duty everyday. However responsibilities out on the Park limit Visitor Center hours to "as staffing permits" Passes are also available at the Self-Serve stations at the lake, at the Meadows picnic area and at the top of the switchbacks on East Brush Creek.
Road Conditions

The road to the Visitor's Center is paved. Beyond that point roads are gravel. Mudseason conditions mean booming business for local carwashes

Winter Conditions

Lake is 100% ice covered but surface slush and varying thickness of layered ice has developed. Ice thickest at the dam. Areas of unsafe ice can always exist, USE CAUTION. 1-2' of snow. Bare ground on south facing slopes.
