Camping at Trinidad Lake State Park
There are two campgrounds at Trinidad Lake with a total of 73 sites. The South Shore Campground has ten non-electric sites within walking distance of the lake. All these RV-friendly sites have panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The Carpios Ridge Campground--located up on a ridge, 150 feet above the lake--has 63 campsites that can accommodate RVs, trailers or tents. Modern facilities at this campground include:

The campground is patrolled for your safety and to ensure quiet after 10 p.m.
Campsites can be reserved in advance. Please camp only in designated sites and display your camping permit in the site marker. Checkout time is noon. Visit the Reservations page to make your reservation at Trinidad Lake State Park now!
Winter CampingYear-round camping is available at sites 1-23, 62 and 63 with electricity available at all sites and water taps scattered throughout the campground. Sites 1, 3, 6, and 63 offer full hookups. Sites 24-61 and the South Shore Campground are closed between October 15 and May 1.
Accessible CampingUniversally accessible facilities are available at the Carpios Ridge Campground and picnic area. Restrooms, showers, picnic tables and drinking fountains are also accessible.
