Book NowCamping at Trinidad Lake State Park

There are two campgrounds at Trinidad Lake with a total of 73 sites. The South Shore Campground has ten non-electric sites within walking distance of the lake. All these RV-friendly sites have panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The Carpios Ridge Campground--located up on a ridge, 150 feet above the lake--has 63 campsites that can accommodate RVs, trailers or tents. Modern facilities at this campground include:

  • Centrally-located water hydrants;
  • 50–amp electrical service at all sites;
  • Full hookups at four sites (1, 3, 6 and 63);
  • A year-round camper services building with coin-operated laundry, showers and flush toilets;
  • 24-hour restroom facilities just outside the campground--open year-round also; and
  • A dump station located near the campground entrance. Please use this facility; it’s illegal to dump waste and sewage, including dishwater, anywhere else.
