The boat ramp is open for the season. ANS Advisory: The program to prevent the spread of Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) in Colorado’s waterways is in force. All boats must be inspected before launch. Colorado State Parks encourages all boaters to take a few simple, precautionary steps every time they go to a lake, river or reservoir. Before leaving a lake or other waterway, boaters should: DRAIN the water from the boat, live well and lower unit of the engine; INSPECT all exposed surfaces; REMOVE all plant and animal material; CLEAN the hull of your boat; DRY the boat, fishing gear, and equipment.

Fishing Report
-
5/9/2012
Trinidad Lake is approximately 726 surface acres and the surface temperature is holding at about 52°. Fishing was great this past week. Rainbows are still hitting hard and we also had a 30” walleye caught! ANS boat inspections are taking place so be sure your boat is “CLEANED, DRAINED, and DRIED”. Boaters beware of floating debris and unmarked hazards as the water level continues to rise. Anglers are reminded to check the regulations for bass and walleye and to always wear your PFD!! All camping and bath-house facilities are now open for the season. For more information call the Visitor’s Center at 719-846-6951.
